Nearing the end…

It’s election might and I am back in Switzerland; just had a wonderful dinner with Fabian and Yvonne in Lucerne. Fabian is a key representative for BMC here in southern Switzerland and Northern Italy. We met; of course, riding in Fruita this summer. He and his partner Yvonne live near Lucern / Zug and they have been exceedingly kind to me. The bike I have been riding this week, as mentioned, is a BMC Pro Machine that Fabian loaned to me for the week. When he was in Fruita we had noticed that we fit nearly the exact same bike and he had offered this opportunity. I was amazed it worked out and even more so that I had the opportunity to get to know two very wonderful people here in Switzerland. Combine that with the perfect ride of the BMC Bike and I feel quite lucky and almost guilty for how much I have been given by so many. Thats a good way to feel; I send Thanks to the staff at Over the Edge Sports who keep things rockin’ along as I wander about and I Thank all of you who have belived in and supported me and afforded me such great opportunities in such a blessed life experience. Thanks!

I spent last night in Como; a town that I had rapidly driven past many times and had never stopped in. I was remis; I will not make that mistake again. It is more a business center than a tourist trap but that allowed me to meet real people from Italy and even a cool meeting with Kurt from North Carolina (a mountain biker) and just a very nice feeling of the town and the people and the energy of the whole place. Oh; did I mention it sits on the harbor-like end of Lago Como and holds the keys to a bout a million miles of great pavement. That and as they tell me, I could ride a  mountain bike from Como to Lugano all on dirt… OK, almost, there is a few lakes in the way.

It’s raining again but it feels just right. I have been so blessed on this wet wander about northern Italy and am grateful for it all. I cant wait to be back and do it again. I’m already missing my new found places and special people that I have met, Ciao Grazi

…and now; the world awaits what will happen in our USA elections. It’s inspiring to me that they care so much. It shows what America was to the world and what we have become. They miss us a bit it seems and are hopeful for our ”change” and eventual return to the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Ciao

Vote… Live… dont regret…
