As I sit here with wet pants from my attempt at an ”Urban” ride around the streets of Fruita. It’s a bit wet today and the indian summer of the past few weeks may well be finished. Oh well; it cant be comlained about when we rode at 9,000 feet a week ago.
MOre than just ”not complaining” I feel pretty Thankful and what a day to express it…
Thank for the support of all of you who have made Over the Edge Sports a success and a part of the Mountain Bike History. I am always greateful for the life you have allowed me and the life you have given this business and this 100 year old building in downtown Fruita Colorado, Thanks. I hope we can return the favor in 2009 when you feel as alive as ever rippin’ down some new trail in Fruita / Grand Junction.
I could write for hours about the things I am thankful for in 2009 but I will sufuce to day that this Cycling lifestyle and this Fruita frame of mind have served me well in the path my life has taken. Thanks for the great times, the wonderful friends, the great new faces every year in our MTB circle and the old faces who have become my family after a few decades in this sport/industry. Thanks for the Alps and Italian food and wine. Thanks for Italy and the people who make it the great culture in the world. Thanks for those who know me best; I know its an exercise in tolerance! And maybe what I am thankful for more than anything is that this run isnt over; not just yet anyway, I look forward to living forward in the coming months and sharing many more adventures and life stories with people like you. Thanks and lets rock this life!
