Last month, after a one year delay thanks to Covid-19, the 10th Annual Hurricane MTB Festival finally happened. After twelve months of nervous uncertainty, the festival was a great way to celebrate spring and a return to normal; or at least, being able to see normal on the horizon. We had a wonderful turnout and people were happy for an excuse to get together, ride some classic Southern Utah trails and enjoy tasty food and beers with other mountain bikers. The 2021 Hurricane MTB Festival even had a first – a marriage proposal out on Gooseberry Mesa!

Instead of blabbing on about this year’s festival, we’re gonna let Photo-John’s pictures tell the story of the 10th Hurricane MTB Festival. Scroll down to browse a big gallery of festival photos, including group rides, festival games, food, vendors and more.

The 2022 Hurricane MTB Festival is already in the works so put it on your calendar now. It will take place from March 25th to 27th. Honestly, you should block out the whole week so you have plenty of time to play on Hurricane’s legendary mesa trails as well as a day or two to visit Zion National Park. For more information about next year’s festival, please visit the Hurricane Mountain Bike Festival website.

If you missed this year’s festival or you’re just in the mood for some Hurricane mesa riding, there’s no time like the present. The weather is great right now, the cacti and wildflowers are starting to blossom and we’ve got plenty of bikes to rent. Give us a call (435.635.5455) if you have any questions about trail conditions, lodging or mountain bike rentals.
