Setting up Shop

Ever dream of remodeling a fixer upper? Seems so romantic and ideal to daydream about, remodeling a building left for dead and reviving it back to life with your own two hands. How its going to feel like an extension of yourself, how its going to feel so rewarding once completed….. well as they say, good things never come easy. Remodeling a fixer upper is a roller coaster of problem solving, how to videos, labor, and endless trips to the hardware store. You could say its a labor of love. Its like that bike race where mid-way through you're asking yourself, “Why am I doing this? This hurts!” – yet when you finish, you already can't wait for the next race. The reward meter is pinned to 11.

With all of these ideals in mind, we took over the old storefront once home to the Mountain Bike Heaven bike shop. Its a location in the heart of Sedona, once teeming with life and spirit. These days, its a relic of its old self withered to a dumpy little building. But the potential and character was obvious, and we've jumped head first into the BIG overhaul process. Like with any renovation, its taking longer than expected: knocking down walls, ripping out carpet, chipping out layers of linoleum, scraping 70's popcorn ceilings, re-drywalling, patching endless holes, painting, landscaping, troubleshooting junction boxes, constructing benches, setting up fixures, etc etc….. and Sept 1 is already almost here! The time has flown by and we can't wait to finish this glorious thing, its shaping up to be a place we can proudly share with all of you, a place with new life.

The business doors will be open sometime in the next 2 weeks. Stay tuned on our Facebook page for the official 'doors open' signal and we'll look forward to meeting you here and sharing this awesome  place.

Cheers
