Ragnarok-n-roll!

Posted on

According to the Vikings, this Saturday, the 22nd of February, will be Ragnarok, the end of the world.

Supposedly, there will be a great battle, a number of major figures (including the gods Odin, Thor, Týr, Freyr, Heimdallr, and Loki), will die, various natural disasters will happen, and it ends in the subsequent submersion of the world in water.

Well CRAP.  Our trails are just about drying out, the temps are just getting warmer, and now is the perfect time to plan that mountain biking road trip you've been talking to your friends about.  We have been jonesing to ride, and now that the trails are just about perfect, the world is going to end? In a flood??? DAMMIT!

Sure, you are probably saying "Oh, another end of the world scare, it means nothing."  Well, before you discount this one, remember: Odin said he would get rid of the Frost Giants.  Have you seen any Frost Giants lately?  No, no you have not.  The guy seems to keep his word on things.

As of today, Horsethief Bench out in Loma is ride able, if you are in town, get out there and ride.   We urge everyone this week, wherever you are,  go and ride your bike as often and as much as possible.  Have as much fun as you can, enjoy yourself, and ride ride ride!  If Ragnarok happens, at least you had a fun last week on earth.  If it doesn't happen, you still had a fun week on your bike.  You don't lose either way (except for maybe the whole earth under water everyone dying end of the world thing.  That fits in the lose category).

If the end of the world doesn't happen on Saturday, we will be here to help you. We may be slighty hungover from any end of the world parties we attend, but we'll be here.

Come ride with us.
