Bike Testing for Outside Magazine

Phewwwww! Back home from a big week of helping Outside Magazine with their annual Bike Review, held in Tucson, Arizona. It was an honor to be picked to help them out, it's one of the most prestigious magazines for reviews and involves all $6k – $10k valued bikes…. = lots of carbon! In total there were about 60 bikes, roughly 30 road and 30 mtb. We were tasked with both mechanic duties and bike testing. Although it was a ton of work, our inner bike geekness made it a pleasure. All of the bikes here were "dream bikes" so to speak, so it was definitely interesting to try things out and learn some of the characteristics of the world's top bikes. Pile O' Carbon:   The Outside crew here was a super fun bunch of people, they really are passionate about the great outdoors and are highly capable athletes themselves. […]

Big Ass New Year’s Ride

No better way to kick off the New Year than a big ass all day bike ride with a bunch of friends. Here's a few shots of the New Year's ride in Sedona, which swelled up to be a much bigger group than expected. We started at the Over the Edge shop (obviously) – rode up to the top of airport mesa, dropped down the new View Trail, down Brewer Trail, Broken Arrow Trail, Submarine Rock, Chicken Point, Little Horse Trail, Llama Trail, Bail Trail, Templeton Trail, Slim Shady Trail, back to Templeton, Buddha Beach, Ridge Trail, and back to the shop. Keep Sedona on your radar for 2015, awesome time to be riding out here, and Cheers to the New Year! Pics by Lars Romig

Monsoon tacky dirt in Sedona

Just when we needed it, the rain came. It's offically monsoon season here in Sedona, and we couldn't be happier! June was a hot and dry month for Northern Arizona in general (same goes for Colorado too)- and our trails and our riding souls were thirsty for some sweet moisture and tacky dirt. Typically our monsoon season hits in August, but luckily it's coming early now in July. Almost everyday the clouds are moving and shifting in the afternoons, bringing our trails, vegetation, creeks, and spirits back to life. The time is ripe for shredding again, trails are awesome, water is flowing. Doesn't get any better than  a ride followed with a cold one in the water along Oak Creek!
