We sent local freerider Danny Mac and Photo-John to the Grafton Downhill for an Ibis HD6 shakedown/photo ride. Read our Ibis HD6 first impressions review to find out how the new mixed-wheel enduro/freeride bike performed on a classic Southern Utah downhill trail.
We built this custom, “Cancer Sucks,” Revel Rascal mountain bike for our friend, Stacy Griswold, who recently passed away. It’s a beautiful 29er trail bike and we’re selling it for his family. To learn a little more about Stacy and see more photos of the bike, click the, “Read More,” button, below.
A few weeks ago the new Revel Rail 29 showed up at the shop in Hurricane. With 155mm of Canfield Balance Formula suspension, fun-focused geometry and a beautiful carbon frame, the Rail 29 seems like it was designed especially for Southern Utah. For our Revel Rail 29 ride report, we sent Photo-John and OTE, HU service manager, Todd Cramblett, to Cedar City to see what it could do.
Join us for an Ibis Ripley AF Southern Utah ride report! In 2019, Ibis surprised mountain bikers with an aluminum version of their super popular Ripmo 29er enduro bike. Offering comparable performance at a much lower price, the aluminum Ripmo AF was a huge success. Now, Ibis has done the same thing with their Ripley 29er XC trail bike. Introducing the new Ibis Ripley AF: a more affordable Ripley with an aluminum frame. The Ripley AF has 29-inch wheels, 120mm of travel in the back, a 130mm fork and the geometry has been stretched and slackened to make it happier on the descents. Best of all – you can buy a complete Ripley AF for as little as $2999. Ibis visited Hurricane in November and brought us a pre-production Ripley AF 29er to check out. Photo-John and Quentin took it out to JEM to get some action photos and to […]
We’re excited to welcome the new Ibis Ripley 29er to the Over the Edge family! The Ripley has always been one of our most versatile mountain bikes and the updated 2019 Ripley is even better. Ibis took what they learned with their longer-travel Ripmo and applied that to the 120/130mm-travel Ripley to make what their calling the “Mini’Mo.” We’ve had the bike for a couple of days here in Hurricane and it’s a fantastic ride – just as you’d expect from an Ibis. We have them available now so if you’d like to find out for yourself how good it is, visit our Ibis Ripley V4 bike page, call or use the online rental form to reserve your new Ibis Ripley 29er demo, now. Although the new Ripley might appear similar to the previous version, it’s really a very different bike. Yes, it’s still a 120mm rear-wheel travel 29er trail […]
Each year in September the bike world descends on Las Vegas for the annual Interbike show, the largest bicycle tradeshow in North America, held at the Mandalay Bay convention center. Over The Edge was there representing with members from Fruita, Hurricane, Sedona, and Tahoe – We had Mike, Jason, and Ian from Sedona there. Besides checking out the latest and greatest for 2016 bikes and components, and getting a feel for future bike industry trends, the show is really about the people. It’s about being friends with the people we do business with – seeing them face to face for once, shaking hands, having a laugh, and drinking a beer together. It’s really the only reason I go to the show anymore, as most of the buying is done earlier in the year now, and pictures of all the new stuff is online before the show anyways. One of the special […]
