Pivot Shuttle AM E-MTB Description

The Pivot Shuttle AM V2 is a pedal-assist e-bike with 148mm of rear-wheel travel and a 160mm fork. Based on Pivot’s popular Switchblade mountain bike, the Pivot Shuttle AM E-MTB is designed to be an, “All-Mountain All-Star,” with a little battery-powered oomph to keep you grinning no matter how steep, gnarly or long your ride is. The Shuttle AM has travel for almost any kind of trail, geometry tuned for rowdy exploration, and the DW-Link suspension is efficient on climbs and smooth through the chunk. It’s the perfect pedal-assist all-rounder!

Back in 2019 we got the original Pivot Shuttle – our very first e-bike. Since then, Pivot has added the lightweight Shuttle SL, the long-travel Shuttle LT and, positioned between the SL and LT, the all-mountain Shuttle AM. The new Shuttle AM is the second generation of Pivot’s all-mountain pedal-assist E-MTB. The most obvious change is the new Bosch Performance CX motor. With 85Nm of torque and a 625Wh battery (“Ride”-spec rental bikes – Team and Pro builds have a 750Wh battery) it’s engineered to deliver a quiet, responsive and “natural riding experience.” If the 625Wh battery isn’t enough, Pivot also offers a 250Wh battery range extender. The Pivot Shuttle AM V2 has a much cleaner, sleeker look than its predecessor. At first glance, you might not realize it’s an e-bike. The geometry is slightly slacker (0.2° in the Low setting) with a longer wheelbase for more stability. If the 64.1° head angle is too aggressive for your taste, there’s a flip-chip on the rear linkage that steepens it almost half-a-degree and raises the bottom bracket 5mm.

E-bikes are really starting to mature. The Pivot Shuttle AM E-MTB is proof of that. Not only does it look better, the geometry is refined for all types of riding, the Bosch motor feels smooth and natural, and the 150mm rear/160mm front suspension is perfect. This is a bike that’s at home on the slickrock as well as exploring desert singletrack and jeep roads.

Below, you’ll find geometry numbers for the Pivot Shuttle AM full-suspension e-bike. The Shuttle AM has an eccentric flip-chip that allows for low and high geometry setups. Unless otherwise indicated, all geometry specs are for the low setting.
