As of Saturday 2/17 we have amazing conditions at Kokopelli Trail System. You will probably have bit of mud on your bike after a ride, but not so bad that your wheels stop rolling. The sun is shining and it looks like an amazing weekend ahead if you are careful where you ride.
Trail Status as of 02/17/2018
Local Weather. Fruita is Caution
We drove out to Loma Friday morning and the conditions at Kokopelli are rideable. Some soft muddy spots will get you a bit muddy, but nothing that should wreck your bike or the trails. Enjoy the sun and blue skies! See pics on our Face Book Page.
Bookcliffs/18Rd/North Desert Closed
Likely will be muddy in the shade through the weekend. It's just not warm enough yet to really dry things out.
See above for Koko!
Rabbit Valley Caution
As of the afternoon of 2/16 we've seen pictures of Rabbit Valley that showed it looking really muddy. However, it typically dries out quickly so Western Rim should be rideable Sunday.
Lunch Loops Caution
Above the Widow Maker climb I expect muddy conditions. Down lower will be drying out through the day and should be quite good through the weekend. (Talked to a guy who admitted to riding Gunny Loop. He said he got gumbo all over him and his bike)
Palisade Rim Caution
Same as Lunch Loops. I would guess after the Petroglyph Panels the trail will get muddy.
